Aromatic Bitters 50ml by PYEWACKET'S
Our Aromatic Bitters have been a long time in the making. We wanted a traditionally made, botanical cocktail tincture to go with the incredible array of premium botanical spirits we adore and also to create delicious, not sweet, not alcoholic drinks with depth and sophistication. So we set out to make bitters true to tradition, inspired by 18th century pharmacists and traditional herbalists using organic, homegrown or ethically foraged herbs, roots and fruits. A true bitters tincture is made like a herbal medicinal tincture but instead of selecting herbs for their healing properties alone- we curated our Aromatic Bitters around flavour. The medicine is pleasure.
These cocktail bitters passionately contain no flavourings, colours or sugar. Just Plants. They are slow infused in small batches at our little kitchen in Lismore, Northern NSW, Australia.
Use our Aromatic Bitters as you would any commercial bitters in a Lemon, Lime & Bitters, a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned. Where traditional recipes call for a dash - use 10 drops of Pyewackets Traditional Aromatic Bitters.
Our Aromatic Bitters are delicious as a refreshing non-alcoholic* herbal digestive - add 20 drops to a 200ml glass of bubbly or still water. If you are feeling you need a little extra, top it off with a shot of your favourite vodka or gin for a sugar free cocktail.
Sugar free. Bitter and delicious.
* Just a heads up, our bitters are made the traditional way - steeped in organic alcohol for a long time - they come out at 45% abv. We suggest using 0.5ml to 1ml in your drinks (one sixtieth to one thirtieth of a standard drink) but if you’re allergic to alcohol, or just curious - yes, bitters contain alcohol.
Also, whilst some bitters do contain sugar or sweeteners, ours does not.
Ingredients: Alcohol*, orange peel*, fresh ginger*, schisandra berry*, vanilla pod, milk thistle seed, cassia cinnamon*, star anise*, fresh holy basil, coriander seed*, dill seed*, gentian root*, pink peppercorns*, fresh bay leaf, fresh oregano leaf.
All herbs are organic (with a *), homegrown or ethically foraged.
