These leftovers are ground to a powder, then mixed with food grade binding resin and poured  into a mould. It is then treated not unlike porcelain where it is baked twice, first time to shape the product, the second time a decal is applied and it is sealed.

Please know that as much as we wish things could last forever, bamboo can be broken when dropped. It does not smash like ceramic, but occasionally when it hits a hard floor a chip or crack may occur. We recommend you treat it carefully and with love. It will then love you back and last gorgeously while your little one grows up.
